2-4 Juli 2010 arrangerar Mantorp Park för fjärde året i rad Gatebil.
Gatebil har i många år varit Norges största och häftigaste motorevenemang. 2007 tog evenemanget steget ut i världen, till Sverige och på Mantorp Park. Konceptet blev en framgång direkt och har nu blivit ett stående inslag på Mantorp Parks kalender!
Evenemanget är en häftig blandning av bilträff och musikfestival, med maxad underhållning under merparten av dygnets timmar! Dagtid finns det möjlighet att testa den egna bilen på banan eller bara njuta av alla andra extrema byggen som tar sig fram på banan i form av Drifting och Time Attack.
På plats finns dessutom hundratals spektakulära bilar att njuta av liksom många företag med koppling till motorbranschen. Givetvis får man inte heller missa den grymma "after tracken" med musik och festival
2-4 July 2010 organizes Mantorp Park for the fourth consecutive year Gatebil.
Gatebil has for many years as Norway's largest and most amazing motor sport events. 2007, the event step into the world, to Sweden and at Mantorp Park. The concept was a success immediately and has now become a permanent feature at Mantorp Parks calendar!
The event is an exuberant mix of bilträff and music festival, with maxad entertainment during most hours of the day! During the day there is an opportunity to test their car on the track or just enjoy all the other extreme construction which takes up the track in the form of Drifting and Time Attack.
On site there are also hundreds of spectacular cars to enjoy, like many businesses related to motor industry. Of course you may not miss the cruel "after tracker" with music and festival
VEIDEC Festival är Europas största och häftigaste dragracingtävling, och utgör den svenska deltävlingen i det officiella Europamästerskapet. Tävlingen går liksom tidigare år av stapeln sista helgen i juli, 28juli - 1augusti. Under helgen tävlar totalt 16 olika klasser, från råa gatbilar till extrema Top Fuel dragsters i EM-serien. Dragracing på den här nivån är väldigt svårt att föreställa sig om man aldrig upplevt det, men som några exempel på vad det handlar om kan nämnas att en Top Fuel accelererar från 0-160 km/h på en (1!) sekund och når ca 500 km/h i topphastighet efter 402 meter! För att klara av detta utvecklar motorerna över 7 000 hk, drivs på högoktanig nitrometan och låter ungefär som ett jetplan som startar… En helt otrolig upplevelse med andra ord!!
VEIDEC Festival is the largest and coolest drag racing competition, and is the Swedish race in the official European Championships. The competition goes as in previous years held the last weekend in July, 28th July - 1augusti. Over the weekend, will compete a total of 16 different classes ranging from crude to the extreme Gatbilar Top Fuel features professionals in the European Championship series. Drag racing at this level is very difficult to imagine if you never experienced it, but a few examples of what is at stake may be mentioned that a Top Fuel accelerates from 0-160 km / h on a (1!) Second, and reaches approximately 500 km / h top speed of 402 meters! To cope with this engine develops more than 7 000 hp, driven high-octane nitromethane and sounds like a jet that starts ... An incredible experience, in other words!

Traci Hrudka, Chairman of the Quarter Mile Entertainment Foundation, has announced Lori Johns, the four-time Top Fuel National Hot Rod Association event winner during the period of the late 1980s through the early 1990s, has become a corporate-level sponsor of the Foundation, through Lori Johns Racing. Said Ms. Hrudka, “I was stunned and so pleased with Lori’s phone call to me, in which she told me of her donation. The two of us have been dear friends for years, but this was completely unexpected! “Lori told us she would be signing autographs and helping with the PROJECT 1320 booth in the “Golden 50 Corral” at the Winternationals in Pomona last week, but I had no inkling she would become a financial benefactor.” Ms. Lori Johns stated, “Drag racing is a unique form of motorsport. It is a combination of engineering genius and a close knit community of friends and families that have created a bond, beyond any obstacle, through the love of the sport. This project, the brainchild of Traci Hrudka and the board of Quarter Mile Entertainment Foundation is integral to chronicling the history of those people that made the quickest and fastest cars on the planet. I am excited to have the opportunity to contribute to a cause so important and dear to my heart!” The Quarter Mile Entertainment Foundation is a pending 501(c)(3)not-for-profit foundation, which is producing PROJECT 1320, a documentary film series about the history of drag racing and the parallel growth of the performance automotive aftermarket.
